Join the "Up the Creek Gang" at Muskeeta Flats in Lake Charles, Louisiana for Cowboy Action Shooting at it's best on the 2nd and 4th Saturday each month at 9:00 am (except during the months of June, July, and August when we start at 8:30 am). We also shoot 2-3 stages of Wild Bunch Action Shooting on the 4th Saturday after the Cowboy match (barring extremely high temperatures).
We have 6 stages that are covered for shooting in wet and/or hot weather (there are even built-in electric fans to help keep you cool) and one uncovered stage. Additionally, for our annual shoot, Bayou blast, we add 3 more covered stages from the immediately adjacent pistol range belonging to the Lake Charles Gun Club. That gives us 10 full stages for our annual shoot! We have a large variety of fun stationary targets as well as moving targets including a pendulum swinger, an alligator slider, clay pigeon launchers, and even flying pigs!
Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) is a shooting competition using firearms (or reproductions) from the late 1800's. Not only do we shoot firearms from the cowboy era, dressing the part is also a requirement. The parent organization, the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) has members across the United States and around the World.
